Chargeable Weight

Why the billed weight can differ from actual weight

Carriers charge by the larger value between actual weight, volumetric weight and minimum chargeable weight. This protects route capacity when a parcel is large but light.

Chargeable Weight = max(Actual Weight, Volumetric Weight, Minimum Chargeable Weight)

Actual weight

The physical weight measured by the warehouse scale after your items arrive and are packed.

Volumetric weight

A calculated weight based on parcel size: length × width × height divided by the channel volume divisor.

Large light parcels

Shoeboxes, plush toys and bulky packaging may occupy more aircraft or truck space than their scale weight suggests.

Warehouse confirmation

The estimate helps planning, but final shipping fee is based on actual packed parcel data from the warehouse.

Restricted Item Notice

Some items can require carrier review, special routes or may be rejected entirely depending on the destination country.

Some items may be restricted or forbidden.

Battery, liquid, powder, food, cosmetics and luxury goods may require review.

Final shipping availability depends on product type and destination country.

Customs tax is not included unless stated.

FAQ

Shipping Estimation FAQ

Short answers for the most common questions about secondary shipping fees and international delivery.

Why do I need to pay international shipping separately?
You first pay product cost, domestic seller shipping and service fees. International shipping is calculated later after the warehouse receives, packs and weighs the parcel.
What is volumetric weight?
Volumetric weight converts parcel size into a billable weight. A large light box may cost more to ship because it occupies more carrier space.
Is the estimated shipping fee final?
No. The estimate is for planning only. The final fee is based on warehouse measured weight, packed dimensions, product review and selected channel.
What items are restricted?
Battery products, liquids, powders, food, cosmetics, branded luxury goods and similar products may require review or a special shipping line.
Can I choose the shipping channel myself?
Yes, when multiple channels are available. If an item is sensitive or a destination has limits, the final channel must follow carrier policy.
How long does international shipping take?
Express lines can take a few business days, while economy or sea shipping can take several weeks. Customs and local delivery may add time.
